Industrial Equipment Mechanic in Rockville, MD

Aerotek is looking for someone who has mechanical background with industrial equipment - conveyors, heavy duty chain conveyors, belts, rollers, bearings, electric motors, gear boxes, and balers. Prefer the applicant to have MIG and stick welding background and the expertise to use a torch. In addition the applicant will be responsible for maintenance of electric motors, radiators, filters, and grease and lubrication of equipment. Mechanical background with frontend loaders and forklifts, is a plus. Background operating a forklift and or a frontend loader is a plus but not required. The applicant will learn to operate a baler and will be required to perform labor related functions including sweeping and shoveling. Applicants should be comfortable working outdoors (cold), working around recyclables (meaning there is a constant faint smell like you need to take out the trash) or if they are sensitive to noise (there is equipment being driven around, conveyors being operated, etc.) Requirements
